Unbelievable
Using on a sand blaster. Although the picture does not match the item itself, Heavy Duty. Greatly satisfied. Highly recommended. Does a fantastic job, even when the humidity is up, in keeping moisture out of the abrasive tank.

Amazing filter
I didn't buy mine here but with no reviews for the Motor Guard here i had too. This filter is awesome I live in Northern California and the air is wet I could full a cup every day from my compressor. I have my motor Guard inline right before my CNC plasma and i don't get a drop of water coming from my plasma. I would recommend Oil/water separator before the motor guard to catch most of the water so your not soaking filters every week.

filter body failure
Beware - if the filter traps water and is not changed the moisture will go after the powder coating inside the housing and then the aluminum. this requires complete replacement. I have never seen powder coating flake like this.
Best Filter around
I've had a Motor Guard Filter on my air system for, at least, 35 years. I agree with the other review that it's best to put a moisture seperator in front of the Motor Guard. Also, make sure that you put the filters at some distance from the compressor. I live in NJ and we get our share of humidity so I get a lot of water in the air lines. I can't say enough good things about this filter.

Sharpe Dessicant Filter System
This product shipped in a beautiful styro molded box. Arrived in great shape. It's mounted on the wall, hooked up, and keeps the air and oil from the air supply going to my equipment as advertised. The one thing that I wish they did differently is the bracket that holds this to the wall is a little flimsy. The three canisters with all the fittings are a little heavy for the tiny bracket around the center canister. I had to add an additional strap support twixt the large right canister and the regulator to keep it from listing to starboard.
Also, it would be nice to have a filter wrench thrown in so you can access the contents when necessary.

Other than these little nags the product is sturdy, well built and I expect to get years of use from it.

Get this one. Don't even consider the others.
I needed this for application of a special firearm finish. It was recommended to me by my local paint supply store, who also uses it, and I got it here for a lot less than $700 they were asking at the shop. 3-stage filter, cleans /very/ easily. All it takes is some elbow grease to unscrew the canisters and give them a quick shake and a drying out once a week or so. Extremely user friendly.

The added regulator on the end has two 1/4" NPT outlets that are great for hooking up extra hose- I run one to my paint gun and one to my sandblasting cabinet. The screw-valve is a pain to back in and out, but you can control pressure nearly to the pound, up from 5 to 120 PSI. I've run it for two months now without so much as a hiccough.

Don't use this by itself- you still need a good 15' of iron pipe to let the air cool and condense. If you try and run this straight from your compressor, especially for extended periods, you'll have to empty out the big canister and...

Great FRL Unit!
The first FRL unit I ordered was leaking in between the manifold. Amazon sent me another one and overnighted it. The 2nd unit has worked great. I would definitly recommend it.

Incorrect item description
Be warned, the description for this regulator states It has a maximum input pressure of 250 PSI but when I received it, the box states the maximum input pressure is 150 PSI. I called Campbell Hausfeld directly and they said the box is correct, and that they need to update their description of the item. This looks to be Cambell Hausfelds fault as every place I found this regulator on the web had the incorrect description "From the Manufacturer".
Color is Paint Deep
Of the Campbell Hausfeld filters & lubricators I wanted a blue set but this product was the only combined "set" I found. I figured blue, black, whatever but when I got it in the mail, it in fact was a blue set. Bottom line, I wanted an air filter, regulator, lubricator kit for my air compressor and this fits the bill perfectly. The only thing I noticed when I installed this and filled it with oil for use is that my air compressor already has a regulator on it at the hose connection and the two regulators are about 5 PSI different. When the regulator on my air compressor is set at 90PSI, the regulator on this combo is only reading 85PSI. So I just bumped the air compressor up to 95PSI in order to get a 90PSI reading on the combo set. I figure it's only 5PSI and within the range of the tools I have for no big issues. I still highly recommend this product.

I am new to compressors. I have a 12 gallon craftsman air compressor that we picked up at a garage sale. The previous muffler/air filter fit in the palm of your hand and allowed a lot of noise to escape out of the pump. This unit is much larger than the stock unit and removed a lot of the unwanted noise. The noise now has more bass rather than the previous extremely loud tinny noise.

The underside of the unit has 3 holes were the air enters, the holes have pipes that enter the inside of the unit. To lower the noise further, sound dampening material could be added inside the unit and plastic tubes could be extended on the outside of the unit as are seen on other smaller mufflers. The diameter of the included filter element is about half the outside diameter, this allows for space for the inside 3 air pipes.

I was concerned about the cover being plastic, but it turned out to not be an issue and I prefer it to the over priced metal ones I saw at the hardware...

Works well
Quieted up my frankensteined compressor setup (various hand-me-downs, not pretty, but highly functional) a decent bit. Pretty large, so some black 1/2" pipe and some fittings were needed to move it a bit. May move a bit further away to quiet the entire machine down when it is permanently installed in my workshop.

works great, even better as a team
i ordered this to use in line for painting with hvlp guns. right now i do not have any sort of big filter water separator or drier hooked up directly to tank so i get alot of water coming threw my hose when i use it with the blower attachment. when i paint cars i use a devilbliss whirlwind style air/water separator which worked ok but i needed a drier. i have my system set up like this. air compressor> regulator>25ft hose> devilbliss regulator> devilbliss water separator> motorguard desiccant filter> iwata lph-400

the beads did not turn pink immediately i got about 30-45 min use out of it before they STARTED to turn pink 50%. if you use a devilbliss whirl wind style water separator before your motorguard then you'll extend the life of it. devilbliss separators work much better then the "chepo" or no name brand ones. and they are pretty much the same price. so use the 2 together to get the most out of your motorguard desiccant filter
