Lot of double taps...
I have had this gun awhile. I bought it cause it was inexpensive and I don't use nails or staples a lot, but when I need em I do need em. As the wise man said "only a rich guy can afford cheap tools".

First of all the soft nose does prevent you causing a divot in your workpiece, but the plunger makes up for it. It really makes a "slot" in your wood. Hard to hide, unless you have a putty that match's the wood perfectly. It drives the nail or staple quite deep and even with the air adjusted lower it will sometimes drive the nail or staple too deep, leaving it protruding out the backside of the two pieces. Very irratating.

This tool is prone to "double taps"....firing twice..one on top of the other...keep a pair of needle nose pliers handy...more scar's on the wood.It also will pick up two nails at the same time and try and drive em into the same hole (keep those needle nose handy). It jams a lot. The "adjustment" for nail length is a pain.

DOA
Garbage....Arrived DOA....Ordered unit for an upcoming project. Connected it to the compressor and immediately heard air leaking from the front of unit. Tried to use the nailer and it would not fire. I am now 31 days past my order date and can not return to Amazon. Will try to contact the manufacturer regarding warranty.

Flawless stapler at a great price
I purchased this to use on a couple of custom end tables I was building for my 5th wheel trailer. It worked flawless, so good in fact I went back and bought the 2" as well. This stapler is light weight and comfortable to handle. It fires true each and every time and what a bargin at this price. I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend this to anyone. Happy nailing !
Works better than expected
I used it a couple times, with staples and brad nails and both times I was pleasantly surprised at its ease and flawlesness of use. Would definately recommend it. Used with a tiny pancake 1 Gal compressor with reservations, but again great performance. I am trying to come with a reason to use it again!

The FN250C finish nailer utilizes standard 16-gauge finish nails from 1 inch to 2-1/2 inches long, and it features an internal piston catch for consistent maximum power on every shot and a rear exhaust to keep contaminates away from work. Great set for the money
Let me start off by saying that the best price i found on this item is not on amazon but rather at home depot ($279), which makes this set a really great deal.

The compressor is likely the weakest link in this set. It is relatively noisy, although still much quieter than my 2.5hp 33gal craftsman, and there definitely are better options in this size.

Both nailers and the stapler are all superb. They're quiet and reliable. I am using cheap harbor freight nails and have not got a single jam in a few weeks of use. The depth adjustment is tool free and works very well on all three tools.

Overall, this is one of the best deals out there for a high quality nailer combo with a decent compressor.

Dependable and low maintenance
This is a nice combo pack for the weekend user or hobbyist. The compressor requires no maintenance... a definite consideration when buying. Everything is easily accessible for adjustments and connections. The unit is compact, fairly light and packs up well for mobility. Compressor is a bit loud but I can live with that for the price. There is no air nozzle included, you'll need to buy that separately.
DIY Guy
I hadn't as much as touched a nail gun prior to this purchase so I was a bit apprehensive at first. I was doing a remodel project and opted to do my own custom trim so I needed something for fast and clean nailing and finish nailing. This combo package was absolutely perfect for my project. Very easy to use and short learning curve. Quick-connect locking works great for switching from tool to tool very quickly. I liked the carrying case that it came with, makes for great storage of the guns and extra nails when not in use. The kit included most of what I needed - I only added some accessories for some of the other cool things you can do once you haver a compressor in your home! I have had no issues at all and this has been a great decision for me. Based on some estimates I had done prior to my purchase this item paid for itself by the time I finished doing the trim in my second room. Based on my usage so far I am pretty sure the quality of this Porter Cable product will stand the test...
