Made by DEWALT, the D55141 air compressor sports a 2-gallon and can deliver up to 150 pounds per square inch (psi) of pressure--enabling you to drive nails more quickly. A high-flow regulator provides optimal performance, while dual quick couplers allow the compressor to support two nail guns at once. The machine is equipped with an 8-amp motor that starts easily, runs quietly, and is designed to reduce breaker tripping. Other features include a durable oil- and maintenance-free pump and a ball valve drain that lets you quickly and thoroughly drain the tank.
The D55141's compact, lightweight design makes it easy to carry and store, and the power cord wraps neatly around the compressor for convenience. A roll cage helps protect key compressor components. The machine measures 10.5 by 21.25 by 19 inches (H x W x D) and weighs 30 pounds.
Finish Nailer for 16-Gauge Nails
Great for trim work, the D51257K finish nailer is designed to be used with 16-gauge straight collated finish nails between 1 inch and 2-1/2 inches long, and can hold up to 100 nails at a time. The tool delivers 70 to 120 psi of operating pressure and has a thumb wheel so you can easily adjust the depth of the nail. A low-profile rubber pad prevents marring on the material surface, while a jam clear helps prevent bent fasteners from getting caught in the nosepiece. Other features include an over-molded handle to keep you comfortable during long days on the job. A sequential action trigger provides additional safety, and a trigger lock-off disables the trigger when the tool is not in use. The gun measures 10.6 by 11.8 by 3.5 inches (H x W x D) and weighs 3.85 pounds.
Brad Nailer for 18-Gauge Nails
Well suited for trim carpentry, DEWALT's D51236K brad nailer can be used with 18-gauge brad nails between 5/8 and 1-1/4 inches long, and has a magazine capacity of 110 nails. Like the D51257K finish nailer, it has a thumb wheel to adjust the depth, a no-mar rubber pad, a jam clear, a sequential action trigger, and a trigger lock-off and provides 70 to 120 psi of operating pressure. A 360-degree exhaust directs air and dust away from you, while a textured grip keeps your hand from slipping. Other highlights include a window on the side of the gun so you can see when your nails are running low and it's time to reload. The tool measures 8.5 by 9.6 by 2.6 inches (H x W x D) and weighs 2.4 pounds.

Dewalt Performance Awesome
I bought the nailer to install 3/4 inch wood flooring. Using the 16 gauge nailer, I was able to fire 2 inch brads throught the tongue of african rosewood flooring. A flooring nailer is recommended for this job but I was able to accurately hit the sweet spot above the tongue every time. African rosewood is much harder than oak and the nailer handled the job without a problem. I also like the versatility of having the 18 gauge nailer which I used to shoot 1-1/2 inch brads through quarter round molding. This unit is light weight but has plenty of power. For $300, it is well worth the price.

Dewalt Compressor/nail gun combo
I do a lot of drywall repair and re-texturing of ceilings & wall areas. I had to replace my old compressor which weighed 50 lbs and was looking for something easier to carry. This compressor works fine, is easy to carry but does run low on compression sometimes because of the small tank. This has not been a problem for me because it does recover quite quickly. I have really enjoyed the compressor in my day to day work and have also used both nail guns on a couple of projects. They worked well and made my jobs so much easier. I am really glad that I made the purchase.
Good Tool for a Newbie
I'm not a pro, so I considered purchasing a much cheaper compressor and nail gun to install some trim in my home. I'm glad I decided to spend the extra money for this tool. It's made installing the trim a breeze. I'm looking forward to tackling new projects using this, and it's made me a believer in DeWalt products.
